Machine Shop Manager - Scomi Oiltools Africa

We are looking for a Machine Shop Manager for our Nigeria / Congo Machine Shop. The position will initially be in Nigeria for a 30 day on, 30 day off rotation before moving to Pt Noire, Congo on a 5 month on, one month off basis permanent basis in 2011.
The skill sets that are required are below:
Familiar with premium OCTG connections.

Familiar with CNC and Manual lathes and has an ability to troubleshoot equipment.

Familiar with API 5CT, API 6A, API 7 and ISO 9001:2008 quality requirements.

Familiar with oil field welding and fabrication.


Familiar with basic completion and drilling tubulars.

Ability to read machine drawings.

Ability to develop business and meet customer needs on a timely basis.

Ability to furnish customer quotations.



The ideal candidate would thrive in a multi cultural environment and have the ability to manage, supervise and mentor local staff.

Excellent communication skills of the English language and French would be an advantage.
